Under the direction of the Nurse Manager/designee, performs a variety of quality, patient-focused and clerical duties in addition to monitoring rhythms and pulse oximetry on the central receiving station at all times to support the operations of the unit.
Experience: Knowledge of medical terminology (cardiac) required. Telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience preferred. Computer experience with data entry and related secretarial experience strongly preferred.
Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent. Cardiac arrhythmia course required.
License, Certification and Registration: CPR-certified.
Other Requirements: Excellent communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented. Tolerance for high-stress situations. Ability to interact with professional staff. Successful completion of administered arrhythmia test with score of 90% or higher.
