Social Worker, BSW - NEX - Oncology Supportive Care

Full-Time - 8am-5pm - Days, Monday-Friday; No Weekends or Holidays - 40 Hours/Week

Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Social Worker Supervisor, will assist patients and their families with the multiple physical, social and economic adjustments they may encounter as a result of medical care or illness in order to optimize patient outcomes. The Social Worker – NEX will work in collaboration with the Social Worker Supervisor, as well as the broader interdisciplinary care team, to develop programs for patient populations from infancy through late adulthood as needed.

Qualifications:
  • 1+ years’ experience in a healthcare agency preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education required; Master’s degree in Social Work preferred.
  • Licensure as a Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of social service with ability to plan, organize, instruct and coordinate.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate efforts with other health disciplines for enhancement of health delivery services to patients.
  • Valid driver’s license required. Vehicle registration required. Current auto insurance with proof of coverage required. Must possess a driving record free from major violations within the past five years, and maintain an acceptable driving record with no major violations in accordance with Motor Vehicle Regulations and AJH Health’s auto insurance policy. Any and all major violations incurred must be immediately reported to the manager, department head or Human Resources department.
