Secretary II
Fetal Diagnostic Center
Full-Time - Days - 40 Hours/Week
Abington Hospital - Jefferson Health

Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Office Manager, the Secretary II performs clerical duties for the department to efficiently move patients through the division. Patient population ranges from young adults through late adulthood.

Qualifications:
Education & Training:
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Business certificate or Associate degree preferred.

Experience:
  • 2 + years secretarial experience required, preferably in a medical environment.
  • Experience with computers, faxing, copiers and scanners.
  • Registration, scheduling, light typing, medical terminology and insurance knowledge.
  • Must have experience in NAVINET, STAR, PHS, and ALPHA.

License, Certification & Registration:
  • Certified in American Heart Association “Health Care Provider BLS” (CPR) required.

Other Requirements:
  • Professional conduct and appearance.
  • Good organizational, time management, problem solving, computer and interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
