Full-Time - Days - 40 Hours/Week
Abington Health Center - Willow Grove
2500 Maryland Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090
Primary Function:
Under the direction of the Manager of Patient Access Scheduling, schedules outpatient appointments and pre-registers patients for their appointments according to established clinical guidelines, insurance regulations and regulatory requirements. Completes appointment scheduling with subsequent order entry, medical necessity checking and pre-certification screening.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 1+ years of health industry office experience. Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Education & Training: High school diploma required. College degree preferred.
  • Other Requirements: Computer skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Listening skills. Ability to multitask and concentrate in a fast-paced production environment.

Conditions of Employment:
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
