Emergency Care Trauma Unit
Full-Time - Nights - 36 Hours/Week

Primary Function:
Reporting to the Assistant Nurse Manager, the Professional Registered Nurse functions within the Professional Nursing Law and according to professional standards and his/her level of knowledge and expertise. This role assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients (or patient) for a designated time frame by prescribing, delegating and coordinating nursing care. The Professional Registered Nurse provides competent care to the patient population varying in age from the neonate to late adulthood.

Qualifications:
  • Education & Training: BSN required.
  • Experience: 1e year of current med/surg, emergency and/or critical care experience preferred.
  • License, Certification & Registration: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. BLS, ACLS and PALS required. CEN preferred.
  • Other Requirements: Successful completion of AH Essentials in Trauma Course within 1 year of employment and annual clinical competency education as indicated. Certification or application submitted to Certification Emergency Nursing within 2 years of employment preferred.

Conditions of Employment:
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
