This position will be located at Internal Medicine Associates of Abington, 1000 E Welsh Road, Ambler, PA 19002.

Responsibilities:

At the receptionist desk, the incumbent serves as the main source for disseminating information to the public. The Receptionist is responsible for competently providing accurate information and directions to hospital visitors, clients and staff. Maintains fiscal integrity by either collecting and recording charges and payments in computer or posting payments in computer. Uses good guest relations and telecommunication skills to greet, check in and check out patients to gather accurate demographic and insurance information for processing of patient visits.

Qualifications:
  • 2 years of medical office experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Achieve Healthcare Provider CPR Certification from the American Heart Association prior to employment and maintain certification thereafter.
  • As of July 1, 2011 a valid driver’s license is required for practices with multiple offices.
  • Professional conduct and appearance, interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills and good phone and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
