Pulmonary Function Test Technologist

Full-Time - 7am-5:15pm - Days, Varied Hours - 40 Hours/Week

Must be willing to travel to all offices—may have a home base and just travel for coverage.

Primary Function:

Reporting to the Office Manager and under the general direction of the respiratory therapist and a physician, provides respiratory care involving the application of well-defined therapeutic techniques. Teaches patients needed techniques for home care. Provides service to patients ranging in age from 18 to 100+.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience related to respiratory therapy.
  • Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in field of study directly related to the medical instrument technician occupation preferred.
  • License, Certification & Registration: Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) and/or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) preferred. Achieve Healthcare Provider CPR Certification from the American Heart Association prior to employment and maintain certification thereafter. Valid driver's license.
  • Other Requirements: Computer skills, medical terminology knowledge and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Current auto insurance with proof of coverage required. Must possess a driving record free from major violations within the past five years, and maintain an acceptable driving record with no major violations in accordance with Motor Vehicle Regulations and Abington – Jefferson Health's auto insurance policy. Any and all major violations incurred must be immediately reported to the manager, department head or Human Resources department.
