Relief (0.3 FTE) - 12am-11:30pm - Varied Hours & Shifts - 12 Hours/Week

Varied hours and shifts as needed for a combined 72 total hours per 6-week period. 36 hours must be an off-shift including 4 weekend/12-hour shifts in the 6-week period; 1 winter and 1 summer holiday and 3 nonessential holidays required.
Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the professional registered nurse functions within the Professional Nursing law and according to professional standards and his/her level of knowledge and experience. He/she assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients (or patient) for a designated time frame by prescribing, delegating and coordinating nursing care. The nurse provides care to the patient population of a specified clinical unit.
Conditions of Employment:
Candidates must have 2 years of ER experience as a registered nurse.
Professional Registered Nurse degree.
Graduate of approved school of nursing.
Current professional nurse licensure from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure in PA is required.
Certified in American Heart Association “Healthcare Provider BLS” (CPR) is required in addition to ACLS.
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
