Casual - 8:30am-3pm - Days, Monday-Friday, Weekend Rotation Every 6-7 Weeks, 1 Holiday/Year - Per Visit

Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Clinical Therapy Supervisor, the Senior Physical Therapist consults, evaluates and provides professional physical and rehabilitative therapy to patients of all ages in their homes as prescribed by the physician. Treatments are carried out to restore function, prevent disability and/or decrease pain. The Physical Therapist is responsible for maintaining high standards for care as established by the profession and according to their level of knowledge and experience.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent clinical physical therapy experience, 1 year of which is in home care is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university required. Master's and/or doctoral degree preferred.
  • Professional licensure as a Physical Therapist from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
  • CPR certification or obtained by completion of introductory period.
  • Knowledgeable of the Professional Standards of Practice.
  • Must be autonomous with excellent assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to quickly establish rapport.
  • Excellent computer, organizational and clinical skills.
  • This position follows the driving policy of Abington – Jefferson Health which requires one to have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Current auto insurance with proof of coverage required. Must possess a driving record free from major violations within the past five years, and maintain an acceptable driving record with no major violations in accordance with Motor Vehicle Regulations and Abington Health’s auto insurance policy.

Conditions of Employment:
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
