Phlebotomist
Laboratory - Venipuncture
Full-Time - Day Shift - 80 Hours Biweekly

Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor – Specialty, the Phlebotomist performs blood collection by venipuncture and capillary stick using age-specific criteria and transports specimens to appropriate lab areas for testing. May perform tests on patients from newborn to geriatric for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.

Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent. Phlebotomy training that includes a minimum of 100 hours in hospital or physician office.
- License, Certification & Registration: Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Other: Availability, flexibility and good interpersonal and telephone skills. Computer knowledge preferred.
