Paramedic
Emergency Care Trauma Unit
Casual / Per Diem - Nights - 4 Hours/Week

Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse, he/she assumes responsibility and accountability for all patients presenting to the Emergency Trauma Center by assisting with technical and bedside care as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience:
  • 1 year of current experience as EMT-P preferred.

Education and Training:
  • Completed EMT-P training program.

Licensure, Certification & Registration Requirements:
  • Current certification as EMT-P (PA and NREMT-P preferred).
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS (or PEPP) certification through the American Heart Association required.

Other Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Tolerance for high-stress situations.
  • Ability to interact with professional staff.

Conditions of Employment:
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
