Primary Function:
Reporting to the Nurse Practitioner – Program Manager and with guidance and input from the Nursing Program Coordinator, functions within the Professional Nursing Law and according to professional standards and his/her level of knowledge and experience. He/she assumes responsibility and accountability for patient care and works with providers to provide an environment that ensures optimal care to patients in ambulatory services. Provides care to patients ranging in age from 0 to 100+.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 1+ years of nursing experience preferred. 1+ years of medical office experience preferred.
  • Education & Training: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing required for new hires or transfers effective July 1, 2017.
  • License, Certification & Registration: Current professional registered nurse licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Achieve Healthcare Provider CPR certification from the American Heart Association prior to employment and maintain certification thereafter.
  • Other Requirements: Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Conditions of Employment:
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
