Under the clinical direction of the Office Manager/Medical Director/supervising physician, the CRNP functions as a member of the medical care management team. The CRNP diagnoses medical conditions, plans and implements interventions, and evaluates patient responses in collaboration with the attending physician for patients ranging in age from infancy through late adulthood in accordance with certification requirements for patient age range of designated practice.
Conditions of Employment:
3+ years of general medical nursing experience.
Master’s degree in Nursing and certificate from Nurse Practitioner Program in accordance with certification requirements for patient age range of designated practice.
Licensure as a Professional Registered Nurse and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in adult or family medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Pursues learning opportunities in order to maintain certification.
Valid driver’s license for practices with multiple locations.
Maintains good communication with hospital employees and physicians regarding issues of practice and role.
For practices with multiple locations, ability to work in multiple geographic locations in keeping within the schedule. Current auto insurance with proof of coverage required. Must possess a driving record free from major violations within the past five years, and maintain an acceptable driving record with no major violations in accordance with Motor Vehicle Regulations and Abington – Jefferson Health’s auto insurance policy. Any and all major violations incurred must be immediately reported to the manager, department head or Human Resources department.
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
