Nurse Clinical Educator, RN, BSN, MSN
Nursing Education
Full-Time - Days - 40 Hours/Week

Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer – Patient Services, the Nurse Clinical Educator actively participates in hospital- based nursing education activities and is responsible for the education needs of designated clinical areas. The Nurse Clinical Educator functions as a role model, consultant, change agent and facilitator in assessing learning needs and in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for the nursing staff and contributing to department and unit goal achievement.

Qualifications

Education & Training:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
  • Master's level preparation is desirable.
Experience:
  • 3+ years’ experience in related clinical areas.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in clinical nursing practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing and evaluating teaching/learning experiences.
License, Certification & Registration:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required.
  • American Heart Association “Health Care Provider BLS” (CPR), ACLS required.
  • Current certification as an Instructor in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS and ACLS).
Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate appropriately and effectively.
Conditions of Employment
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
