Medical Office Coordinator II - Clinical
Lawndale Internal Medicine at Huntingdon Valley
Full-Time - Days - 40 Hours/Week

Primary Function:
Under the general direction of the Abington Health Physicians Management, coordinates and controls the day-to-day operations of the physician practice. Provides service to patients ranging in age from 0 to 100+.

Qualifications

Education & Training:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate from a Medical Assistant program required (would also consider a graduate from a practical nursing program).
  • Associate's degree or certificate program in office management preferred.

License, Certification & Registration:
  • Certification in Medical Office Assistant required within 12 months of employment or transfer (or Pennsylvania LPN licensure required and must be maintained).
  • Achieve Healthcare Provider CPR Certification from the American Heart Association prior to employment and maintain certification thereafter.
  • Valid driver's license is required for practices with multiple offices.
  • Must meet requirements of PA Act 73 regarding child abuse clearance.

Experience:
  • 3+ years of office supervisory experience required.

Other Requirements:
  • Familiarity with medical office procedure.
  • Computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal and written communication skills, physician scheduling and relation skills, and professional interaction with multiple allied healthcare professionals.
  • If driving, current auto insurance with proof of coverage required. Must possess a driving record free from major violations within the past five years, and maintain an acceptable driving record with no major violations in accordance with Motor Vehicle Regulations and AJH's auto insurance policy. Any and all major violations incurred must be immediately reported to the manager, department head or Human Resources department.

Conditions of Employment:
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
