Medical Office Coordinator II - Clinical
Lawndale Internal Medicine at Huntingdon Valley
Full-Time - 8:30am-5pm - Varied Days of the Week & Occasional Saturday Morning in a Pay Period as Needed to Meet Needs of Office; 2 Evenings May Also Be Needed per Week - 40 Hours/Week

This position will be located at Lawndale Internal Medicine, 400 C Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.

Responsibilities:

Under the general direction of the Regional Manager/physician, coordinates and controls the day-to-day operations of the physician practice. Provides service to patients ranging in age from 0 to 100+.

Qualifications:
  • Experience within a medical/clinical setting required.
  • 3-5 years of office supervisory experience required.
  • Graduate from a Medical Office Assistant program required (would also consider a graduate from a practical nursing program).
  • Certification in Medical Office Assistant required within 12 months of employment or transfer (or Pennsylvania LPN licensure required and must be maintained).
  • Achieve Healthcare Provider CPR Certification from the American Heart Association prior to employment and maintain certification thereafter.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree or certificate program in office management preferred.
  • As of July 1, 2011, valid driver’s license is required for practices with multiple offices.
  • Must complete a clinical practicum during MOA program.
  • Must meet requirements of PA Act 73 regarding child abuse clearance, if applicable to practice.
  • Familiarity with medical office procedure.
  • Computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal and written communication skills, physician scheduling and relation skills, and professional interaction with multiple allied healthcare professionals.
