Must be mobile due to the 6 local network locations: Horsham, Abington, Flourtown, Blue Bell, Newtown and Warminster.
Under the general supervision of the Office Manager/Office Coordinator/physician, provides clinical care to patients in the physician's office. Provides care to patients ranging in age from 0 to 100+.
Conditions of Employment:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required, if not certified as a Medical Assistant. 1 year in venipuncture preferred.
Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate from a Medical Assistant program required (would also consider a graduate from a practical nursing program).
License, Certification & Registration: Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred. Achieve Healthcare Provider CPR Certification from the American Heart Association prior to employment and maintain certification thereafter. Licensure as an LPN in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required, if LPN. Valid driver's license is required for practices with multiple sites.
Other Requirements: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Familiarity with medical office procedures. For practices with multiple locations, ability to travel to practice locations.
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
