The Jefferson College of Nursing – Abington-Dixon Campus is seeking interested faculty to join our team. Interested applicants must possess visionary and creative leadership skills to provide implementation of nursing curriculum within the undergraduate program. Responsibilities include collaborating with faculty for course planning/projections, identifying needed resources, overseeing selection of clinical preceptors and clinical sites, and student clinical placement and progression. Faculty members collaborate with Chair of Programs, Associate Deans, Dean and support services to achieve program outcomes.
The Jefferson College of Nursing at Thomas Jefferson University is accepting applications for full-time employed faculty for the College of Nursing – Abington-Dixon Campus Undergraduate program. The primary role of this position is to ensure academic integrity in areas of planning, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum and learning experiences of students in classroom, laboratory/simulation and clinical settings.
The position participates in advising students, curriculum development, program evaluation, teaching in the classroom, and evaluation of student achievement in accordance with the mission, core values and purposes of the College and University.
Master's degree required. Doctorate degree preferred in Nursing or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Eligible for/current licensure to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge and skills related to innovative teaching methodologies, curriculum development, evaluation and supporting students in their journey to become advanced practice nurses or willingness to plan for acquisition of these skills.
Utilizes contemporary and innovative teaching methodologies in classroom, laboratory/simulation and clinical settings.
Serves on College committee(s) as assigned.
Participates in College and University activities throughout the year.
Evidence of ongoing clinical competency.
Participates in professional activities related to area of clinical expertise.
Participates in scholarly activities apart from personal academic pursuits.
Participates in recruitment activities of the College and University.
Interacts with co-workers, visitors and other staff consistent with the core values of the enterprise.
This is a salaried position with a generous benefit and retirement program. Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with experience.
