Under the general direction of the Production Manager or the Assistant Director of Food Service, the cook has the responsibility to ensure that all preparation that he/she is responsible for is completed according to recipe and production records and in a timely manner. Categories of foods include, but are not limited to, all breakfast foods, vegetables and extended entrée ingredients, as well as portioning foods as required and pre-preparation. Patients may range from infancy through late adulthood.
Experience: 5 years of experience in food preparation.
Education & Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred, but not required. On-the-job training required.
Other Requirements: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to read and write in English. Must follow Department of Health, AMH and Department of Nutrition policies, procedures and guidelines.
