Communication Support Specialist
Full-Time - 3pm-11:30pm - Evenings, Weekends/Holidays as Needed - 40 Hours/Week

Under the direction of the HIS Director, Client Support, answers all telephone calls made to the main hospital telephone number in an expeditious, cheerful and pleasant manner at all times. If workstation is located in the lobby, answer all overflow telephone calls made to the main hospital telephone number in the same manner as working in the Telephone Communications Console Room. Operate and assist with other related equipment in the Telephone Communications Console Room and/or at the Lobby Information Desks. Provide information for patients and visitors.
Two years of experience as a telephone switchboard operator preferred.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Good interpersonal/communications skills.
Some computer knowledge.
Bilingual or multilingual person preferred.
