Primary responsibilities include oversight of Home Care Revenue Cycle staff, the claims processing application and ensuring billing practices are compliant with all hospital, governmental and other third-party payer requirements. Develop and maintain excellent relations with payers in the community, be expert resource for payer policies, and provide accurate and complex data analyses of reimbursement for all payers. Partner with internal staff to resolve issues related to revenue stream. The Director serves as a primary liaison with clinical departments and other revenue cycle functional areas as they relate to ensuring timely collections of all due net receivables.
The organizational scope includes oversight of 15+ employees engaged in collections of patient service revenues generating over $35M in net patient revenue per year.
High school diploma or GED.
Bachelor's degree in IT, Healthcare Administration or Business Administration preferred.
10+ years of experience as a patient financial services/receivables manager and/or director in a healthcare setting; home care setting strongly preferred.
Required: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of various registration and billing/receivables information systems.
Demonstrated experience with quality and performance improvement techniques.
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills.
